ALMIRALL

For Almirall, a Spanish medicinal company, we designed an office concept with a Scandi-Spanish vibe.

The Spanish medicinal company Almirall has its Danish offices on Strandvejen in Hellerup. They wanted a concept that managed to bridge between their Spanish roots and a cool, Nordic atmosphere.

Style and color scheme are deliberately centered around an Arne Jacobsen lamp, the AJ, in red, pale blue, and petrol blue – and the beautiful teak window frames, facing the ocean view of Øresund. The two departments of the office have each their distinctive look: one has black tables and red lamps – the other has white tables and petrol blue lamps. The three basic colors have been used to distinguish the two areas and for decorations on the glass divider walls.

We have mixed a Scandi look with the Spanish temper of Almirall, both in colors and materials. The large image in the conference room is an old vista of Elsinore from 1583, given a modern duotone feel and printed on glass.
